This page is maintained by the Circular Business Network team to answer common security and privacy questions about the site. It describes current practices and is not an independent certification or audit.
Access & authentication
Sign-in is required in order to submit entries for Directory, Events or Field Notes pages. Authentication is managed by our hosting platform using email and password (with optional Google sign-in where enabled). Sessions are stored in your browser and can be ended at any time by signing out.
What we collect
- Member applications: your name, email, company, role, and the information you choose to share in your application.
- Newsletter: your email address, used only to send network updates. Unsubscribe at any time.
- Field notes submissions: the content you submit and a contact email so we can reach you about your submission.
How your data is protected
Database access is restricted by row-level security policies so that members can only read and modify their own records. Email addresses collected with field notes submissions are only visible to network administrators and are not exposed on public pages. Submitted content is reviewed before it is published.
Hosting & subprocessors
The site runs on the Lovable platform, which provides hosting, database, and authentication infrastructure. We do not sell your personal information.
Retention & deletion
You can request deletion of your member profile, newsletter subscription, or field notes submission at any time by contacting us using the details below. We retain data only as long as needed to operate the network.
